At the login page, right above the Click here to enter room button, you have a check-box that says Open conference room in one window (recommended). You need to leave that checkbox unchecked. This will offer you 1 window for Chat only and 1 other window for Image.
If you log in with the Two-Window option enabled, but the chat does not open in its own window, you may need to disable your popup blocker. Please see this article for more information.
If you cannot see that option in your login page, it means that either you are in an audio only room or your host company chose to disable that option for the room.
To disable this option (you need administrator privileges to make changes in the room):
- Go to your Admin Page.
- Click on Modify Room Settings. (under Rooms Management)
- Set the Two-Window Mode drop-down list to Disabled. (under Room Access)
- Click on Update Changes to finish.
