Webinato is back to Browser-based options

For a long time Webinato was a 100% web based product. After the end of Flash Player, we provided our own software solution. We are delighted to inform you that we are going back to browser based option.

How to use a Portable Browser

The best way to access Webinato is using the Webinato Desktop App (WDA) but if it is convenient, now you can use the following custom version of portable browsers. Use the links below to download your favorite.

Using Google Chrome Portable

1. Download Chrome Portable - Click here
2. Right click the file > go to Properties > if "Unblock" checkbox is visible, tick it and click Apply (if it is not visible skip this step)
   
3. Go to the appropriate folder
   
   • For 32bit version go to GoogleChromePortable
   • For 64bit version (most modern PC/Laptops) go to GoogleChromePortable64
   • For Incognito versions go to the other folders
4. Double click on GoogleChromePortable.exe
5. Open the Webinato login link as you normally would
6. Click on the Padlock icon 
   
7. Go to Site Settings
8. Find Flash from the list
   
9. Click the dropdown menu and select Allow
10. Click the settings panel and go back to the login page
11. Click reload 
    
12. Next you will see the following warning
    
13. Click on Run this time. Do not click Update Plugin in any case!
14. You may need to click this one more time when the webinar room loads
15. Done.

Using Firefox Portable

1. Download Firefox Portable - Click here
2. Right click the file > go to Properties > if "Unblock" checkbox is visible, tick it and click Apply (if it is not visible skip this step)
   
3. Go to the appropriate folder
   
   • Go to FirefoxPortable to launch the browser normally
   • For Incognito versions go to FirefoxPortablePrivateWindow
4. Double click on FirefoxPortable.exe
5. You will get the following dialogbox 
   
6. Always click Not Now - DO NOT UPDATE!
7. Open the Webinato login link as you normally would
8. The login page should normally load unlike with the Chrome Portable 
9. You may see the following upon loading the webinar room
   
10. Click Run Adobe Flash - DO NOT CLICK CHECK FOR UPDATES
11. From the next dialog box click Allow
    
12. Done

Question: Can I update the portable browser?

Answer: Avoid updating the Portable Browser at all costs!
